William, Kate and astrology
PRINCE WILLIAM, PRINCESS CATHERINE, THE WEDDING AND THE CHART
An astrological approach of the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton
Prince William will be wedding Kate Middleton, on April 29, 2011. They already had a long lasting relationship. The question is: how do their charts match; and what do their birth charts tell us about love? What does the chart show for the wedding day? The answer is: love is in the air and love is in the (astrological) sky!

WILLIAM EN KATE
Every chart reading of a relationship starts with a look at the natal charts of the partners, of course. William and Kate both have 1 indication for problems in their chart. William has Venus inconjunct Neptune. Kate has a wide square between Sun and Mars. With two or more of these kind of indications there would have been a risk of divorce. With just one, there might be a difficult period. And they already had that period; they separated for a while. But now they decided to get married.

The hour of birth of Kate Middleton is unknown, so that her Ascendant and the positions in her seventh house of marriage remain a mystery. As soon at the hour of birth is known, the chart of Kate will be added to this story. Meanwhile there are two observations of the positions of her day of birth that I like to mention:
- The Sun square Saturn.
Just like the wifes of other 'kings to be' (princess Maxima (Netherlands) and princess Mathilde (Belgium)) Kate Middleton has Sun in hard aspect with Saturn. That could point at ambition, status, formal situations, obligations and limitations related to their husbands' status.
- Capricorn Katy
Her nickname used to be 'Waity Katy' because she waited years for the moment that is about to happen in April 2011: her wedding day. Kate Middleton is a Capricorn. Capricorns are among the most patient sunsigns!
But: do they match?Continue for the match.

MATCH WILLIAM+KATE
William and Kate are soulmates and very close. They are able to keep on loving each other and they communicate well. There are sparks and there is fire between them (also when they don't agree:).
Their Moonsigns is Cancer. When people have the same sign of the moon, they feel 'at home'. Friends often share the same moonsign. Read all about it here...
Mercury in Gemini matches with Mercury in Aquarius. Mercury is the planet of communication. The match means that there is an easy flow of thoughts and ideas between them.
Venus in Taurus doesn't match with Venus in Aquarius, but...there is a tredecile (108 degree aspect) between his Venus and hers. That is the symbol of the art of loving each other. With such an aspect, even without a match, love is able to overcome anything.
Mars conjunct Mars is for joined fire...and it is the fuel for arguments, too:)
The sunsigns of William (a Cancer) and Kate (Capricorn) don't match. That is difficult for lifestyles and that is often a problem when the the question is ' Who is the boss?!'
A few years ago they separated. But their love was strong. There is mutual affection and a strong emotional feeling betwen them. The spirit of Mars could be difficult sometimes and there is a basic difference in lifestyle. However, they seem to have found the Sun in their lives. William (the Cancer) found the 'common' girl and Kate (Capricorn, more formal) found the man in a hierarchical position.

SHARED ASPECTS
When couples share the same kind of aspects in their natal charts, this is an indication of similare experiences or of sharing the same characteristics or: they join forces.
William and Kate share one of the most fortunate aspects: Moon trine Jupiter. That is great for popularity and mutual trust and faith. Both desire a happy family life and I bet that their children will be 'spoiled' as much as possible.
They also share a Mercury-trine-Mars-combination. That is stimulating discussions.
His Venus sesquisqure Mars is matching her Venus trine Mars: they are both passionate and warm.
Here is the chart of prince William with the positions of Sun, Moon and planets on the day of birth of Kate Middleton on the outside.

WEDDING DAY
Love is in the air and 'in the sky' (the astrological 7th heaven:) on the wedding day of April 29, 2011.
His progressed Venus is conjunct the Sun. That is a statement for starting the marriage and wedding the love of your life! Neptune is trine this Sun-Venus combination to add some romance (William is very romantic with Venus inconjunct Neptune...). Another indication of happiness is that his progressed Venus will be trine Jupiter later in 2011. Watch the degree of Venus: 0d0 Cancer! Progressed Venus enters a new sign on his wedding day and is exactly square Aries Point to illustrate a public wedding (being seen as a wedded man) and to mirror the new period in his love life.
Love, romance and happiness are the ingredients of fairy tale and dream wedddings*) like this royal wedding is. Love is Venus, romance is Neptune and happy ever after is very Jupiter. Williams progressions and transits are a mix of these three ingredients. There is only one little ' but': transit Uranus inconjunct progressed Midheaven is adding a juice of nerves, hectic situations and tension.
This is the chart of Prince William with the transits and progressions of April 29, 2011.

*) Venus with Jupiter and Neptune is the combination of the fairytale marriage (very – Jupiter- romantic – Venus+Neptune, but with a great chance – Jupiter- for disappointments in love – Venus+Neptune, as well). Maxima, Diana and Gracia have this ‘ theme’ in their charts.
Here are some examples of marriages between ‘ royal blood’ and ‘common people’.
1. Princess Maxima of the Netherlands married a rich boy who will be king one day. Her Venus is in hard aspect with Jupiter/Pluto. In the days around her wedding day the progressed Descendant was conjunct Juno, the symbol of the married woman. With Venus trine her Ascendant it is no surprise that she is the most popular one of the Dutch royal family. She has (Mercury and) Venus in a (wider) inconjunct with the conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune. And that is a combination for a fairytale.
2. Princess Diana married Prince Charles on July 19, 1981. In her chart Jupiter(ruler 1) is inconjunct the elevated Pluto in a ‘ Cinderella or ‘ harem’ degree’, reflecting the extraordinary price to pay for success. The progressed Midheaven was square Pholus to illustrate the ‘ turning point’ on her wedding day, with Midheaven sextile Mars and 75 degrees from the Sun in her 7th house of marriage. Quaoar trine the Descendant might mirror the new reality that started when she married her prince. Three of the midpoint combinations are on Zero Aries! (Venus/Jupiter, Venus/Neptune, Jupiter/Neptune, illustrating the theme of Venus/Jupiter/Neptune that I found in the charts of those doing a fortunate marriage). And of course: Venus/Jupiter/Neptune is for a 'dream' wedding!:)
