THE CHART OF HILLARY CLINTON
HILLARY CLINTON was born 26th October 1947 at 20h (8 p.m.) CST in
Chicago with the ascendant in the final degree of Gemini (and I disagree with that, see this article), the not aspected
('calling!') Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in the final degree of Pisces, squaring
the ascendant and both Moon and Ascendant right on top of Zero Aries, to show the importance of partnership.
Pluto is sesqui square her Moon
and Zero Aries, squaring Venus in Scorpio. Mercury squares Saturn and Mars
is conjunct Pluto and square Venus.
I see a passionate chart with 70% of the
placements in water and fire signs adding even more energetic involvement.
Neptune (dispositor of the MC) is oriental
A prominent Sun and a prominent Moon on top, a prominent Venus and
Pluto and another prominence: Neptune (dispositor of the MC) is oriental.
We see that the Moon is the most prominent of them all, the top 'planet'. How to read this chart?
Hillary Clinton is above all the person in charge, very involved and committing herself, and money has a lot to do with it all but also dreams, visions and idealism.
Her MC is in Pisces and that points at the imaginairy as part of the vocation:
ideals, pictures, the media, visions. It seems she and her husband Bill planned
to be in the White House one day and that makes me think she is good at
planning, because she already was there. Will she succeed in becoming the
first American female president? Let us have a closer look at her chart

Hillary Clinton is a (calling) Sun Scorpio in the 5th house. That means:
leadership, (pro-)creativity and drawing attention at any level. Perfect for
showing leadership. The Sun is opposed to the midpoint of Ascenant and MC, another indication for fame and glory.
Her Moon is 'void of course' (does not make aspects in sign any more) in the very last degree of the zodiac. That is (according to Janduz) the degree of Cassandra, a woman with special abilities and vision. (PS: if she is not born at 20 hours, there is of course another degree for her Moon and the Mooon might even be in Aries)
Venus square Mars conjunct Pluto: the lust and drive for power and money and intensity in desires. She likes to use power. The most narrow aspect in her chart however, is the aspect of narrow mindedness: Mercury square Saturn. And Mercury happens to be her ruler 1, retrograding. (Please read below how this Mercury in Scorpio square Saturn matches with the patterns in the charts of USA presidents).
If her Ascendant is truly Gemini she would have been limited and found barriers on her way. I think she was born with a Cancer ascendant, trine her Sun and Jupiter inconjunct this ascendant and ruler 1 on top, conjunct the cusp of the equal 10th house. All in all this seems to be the chart of a woman in charge and on top who is very eager to use her influence and who is rather limited in interest (she is focussed: she lacks the element earth and will be trying to get material security). She has a large vocabulairy (Mercury semi square Jupiter/Pluto) and as Jupiter is connected to the midpoints Sun/Moon (indicating that she is an international and a positive person who wants to improve herself), Sun/ Uranus, Nodes/MC and Sun/Ascendant there is a lot of progress coming her way from the very start. Both Sun and MC progressed to make an aspect with Jupiter and with Pluto in early life. Marrying Bill Clinton was during one of these fortunate aspects. She is very ambitious: see the 165d (obsessed) aspect of Saturn and MC.
On November 4, 2008 there will be elections and Hillary Clinton is now running for president. On that day transit Pluto will sesquisquare her Mars, 0 degree of orb, and square her Moon, from the descendant. Neptune will be afflicting the Mercury-Saturn square in her chart. The solar return chart for 2008 does not show pleasure, as Saturn squares the MC. And her Mars, Saturn, Pluto combination is around the progressed Ascendant in the 19th degree of Leo, with transit Uranus inconjunct the progressed Ascendant. And very important: the progressed midpoint Saturn/Pluto sits on the progressed Ascendant. It seems it will be a hard confrontation and challenge and though everybody espects the democrats to win I see little reason for joy in this chart on that moment in time. Maybe there has to be a recalculation of votes again...In 1993 (when husband Bill became president) she had the Moon conjunct Jupiter and trine Pluto in progression. In 1998, during the crises about Monika Lewinsky, she had Moon sextile Jupiter and opposed to Pluto, with Sun opposed to Uranus in her progressed chart. In the early months of 2008 her Moon will be opposed to Jupiter and sextile to Pluto in her progressed chart and the MC will be semi square to Uranus. End of 2007 her Solar Arc Moon will change sign to Gemini. Recently her progressed Moon entered the 12th house. It is too early to draw any conclusion and maybe she will not even be the democratic candidate. So I will be back on this later:)

UPDATE nr. 1:
Interesting synastry between Oprah Winfrey (helping Obama) and Hillary Clinton (the other candidate)! They - both influencial women - share the following aspects:
Sun - Saturn (Oprah square, Hillary quintile); they share nasty experiences
Moon - Uranus (Oprah quintile, Hillary square); both long for being different from the other
Moon - Jupiter (Oprah opposition, Hillary trine): success joins them>br?
Venus - Saturn (both square); long felt pain if they break up
Mars - Pluto (Oprah square, Hillary conjunction); this could be destructive but they could have been teamplayers and joined forces...
And apart from that, Hillary has Moon on top and conjunct Zero Aries; Oprah has Moon on the IC, so that in the composite chart the Moon (symbol of the woman) is on the descendant, very prominent, opposing the ascendant. Popular and attractive women.
Their Mercury's (opinions) collide and the Pluto of Oprah is squaring the Northern Node of Hillary as for indicating the influence she has on the community that Hillary needs to support her.
UPDATE 6th February 2008:
Interesting question is, where you see the support of women in the chart of Hillary Clinton? Females are ruled by Venus and/or Moon. Support is found in the symbol of Jupiter.
Could we attribute that support to the position of the Moon on top of her chart? It is a very important Moon, conjunct Aries Point and Void of Course. And the Moon is trine Jupiter (only just out of sign).
However, mostly American presidents have aspects (narrow aspects) between Moon and Jupiter, without being a female. What she shares with the USA presidents I studied is also the Mercury-Saturn-Pluto connection. She has Mercury in Scorpio, in a tight square with Saturn. I hate to say it, but usually it is good for politicians to be strategic in telling the truth (ahem..) and most top politicians have this indication for a strategic mind. So has Hillary Clinton.
As it happens support is in her chart right now (the Progressed Moon is about to oppose to progressed Jupiter: it means that she is going to have a temporary pleasant and positive period).

Noticed that AstroDataBank is questioning the 20 hours birth time of Hillary Clinton. Birth certificate seems not to be available. That would alter the given top position of the Moon, the Moon's degree and much of the progressions and transits:(

Last weekend Hillary Clinton gave up (with transit Saturn sextile Sun and transit Jupiter trine progressed Nodes). She said she would support Barack Obama. Read my earlier update about Hillary supporting him.
