Chart of the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, born 28th July 1954 in Sabaneta at 2:30 a.m. (according to astrologydatabase and anastrologersperspective).
Chavez has lots of placements in watersign, 50%. A.o. the Moon in Cancer, conjunct Jupiter and Mercury, showing that he is a rather compromised and biased but also very succesfull person, especially having succes with communications. This is related to the Northern Node and that adds: groups, communities. His success attributes to the welphare of a large group of persons (and makes him a so called populist). There is another side: those who do not belong to his group are excluided.
He started his carreer in the army. The militairy leadership we find in the the aspects the MC makes with Sun and Mars (the ONLY planet on the upper half of the chart). The aspects are quintiles, creative aspects. It is clear that he wanted changes and revolucion (for Uranus is oriental...) and since that period he was a politician.
Chavez is a rebel. Uranus is badly aspected and oriental and disposes of the ninth house of religion and conviction. He does make changes because he beliefs he is right. Uranus is inconjunct Mars and Mars is trine Pluto. The combination of Mars, Uranus and Pluto points at radicalism. Venus is on the lowest point of the chart. This means the arts, diplomacy, peace and quit and the urge to compromise and cooperate is an important issue in his life. It is exactly Venus that is afflicted by Saturn (he divorced twice).
Other aspect of importance is the Sun square to Saturn. Not seldom this means there will be temporarily limitations due to health issues or for example detention. In 1992 Chavez was in prison after a failed attempt to take over the gouvernment by force. In 2002 his enemies put him in prison again. This happend when Pluto passed the descendant in December of 2001 (to provoque resistance is one of the possible ways this aspect manifests.).
Chavez has 9 midpoint combinacions that indicate success. The Moon with Jupiter in the 2nd house and Saturn square the midpoint of Mercury/Pluto: it reminds me of the studie about American presidents, having mostly these kind of indications for support and political strategy.
OK, he is a succesfull rebel, biassed and concerned about 'his folks', wanting to make the world a better place after serious experiences. Life hardened him with Sun square Saturn. In the next year (2007) the Sun progressed to a square with Mars. This will be a battle (fysical or political).
And, Uranus and Neptune are in a sesquisquare with the MC. We might see this as 'the ideology of liberty'. Neptune for ideology and Uranus for liberty. Because also Che Guevara has hard aspects with Uranus, Neptune and MC...
