The birth certificate of Barack Obama was revealed Friday, June 13, 2008 and shows 7:24 p.m. as his birth time! See the comment below!
Barack Obama is at the time of this article (June 2007) even more popular than Hillary Clinton is. His hour of birth is unknown (but look further down to read my attempts to find one, using 14:02). With only his day of birth (4th August 1961 in Honolulu) there is still something to see in the astrological positions. Sun in Leo, Moon in Taurus or Gemini and a prominent unaspected (calling!: no major aspects) Venus in the 1st or 2nd degree of Cancer (square to Aries Point), inconjunct Jupiter (opposed to Mercury). The diplomate, knowing how to communicate. But the most narrow aspect in his chart is Saturn (strong in Capricorn) inconjunct Uranus. According to Astrologyweekly.com this aspect shows difficulties in establishing priorities, being 'locked up' in the past. I have seen some prominent Saturn-Uranus connections in the charts of those who were litterally locked up for a while. Natascha Kampusch ( the Austrian girl who escaped from the hands of Priklopil) has a narrow conjuntion of Saturn and Uranus in her chart and on the day she was kidnapped her abductor had transit Uranus conjunct his Saturn. Breaking free and crossing barriers should be an item in his life, with this aspect. I see this inconjunction as an indicaton of a disbalance between obligations, law, restrictions and freedom, changes and liberation. It might cause irritations against hierarchy and protocol.
Up to now Obama had Jupiter on his side (transit Jupiter trine his natal Sun) and in early 2008 his progressed Sun will trine progressed Jupiter. Besides, his progressed Mercury and Mars will be joined. But will he make it to the offical candidate for the democratic party? I don't know when they will make up their minds...So let's see if his chart has the necessairy qualities to become a president. Let us see if he compares to the presidents in the study that I did.
Note: in the meantime the hour of birth has been estimated for 11:13 a.m. See updata below. I used to think 14:05 would be a good moment for him, considering the progressions. You see, his parents broke up the relationship when he was 2 years old and at the time the progressed MC would have been conjunct Pluto ruler 12 in 10. When he married in 1992 progressed Venus would sextile the MC. If the Moon would be in early Gemini and trine Jupiter, then Pluto would be on top of his chart (for a politician above all). Very appropiate (begin born around 14.02 hours: the Progressed MC would be in aspect with his Saturn-Uranus in 2008). At that moment he could start getting irritated by the hierarchy in the White House, for example:) But on the 5th of November the P MC would quintiele the Sun. And his solar return chart would have Jupiter on the MC for victory. So he would better be born at 14:02, in which case he will likely be the next president of the USA. We will have to wait and see...But...on inauguration day (20th January 2009) Barack Obama will have a Sun transit Jupiter day.
He would have a Moon trine Jupiter, being born at 14:02. Moon trine Jupiter is very helpfull on the way to the White House. Strategical thinking is a must for American presidents. His Saturn is 157.5 degrees away from the midpoint Mercury/Pluto. There are a number of indications for succes:
Sun square Jupiter/Uranus
Mars semi square Sun/Mercury and Sun/Jupiter
Jupiter sesqui square Mars/Pluto
Pluto semi square Sun/Venus
Nodes square Mars/Jupiter
My conclusion (not knowing his HOB!) is that he is first of all a creative (fire and earth dominating) diplomate (Venus most prominent), who could be a (too) idealistic leader. Neptune is the drug planet and Obama has used all kinds of drugs in his teenage years and he quit smoking when he announced his candidacy. Neptune is also the planet of beliefs. As a grown up Obama had himself baptized in the Trinity United Church of Christ. Both his parents are not religious. That is another statement of the 14:02. In that case Uranus is in the ninth, convertion, change of religion.
I think Obama has a good chance to become the next president or vice-president, given these data. But I would not bet on it, if I were you. Last time (Bush-Kerry) most of the astrologers had the wrong idea about the next president. And in this case we don't even know his HOB for sure.

On December 9 Oprah Winfrey announced that she supports Barack Obama. In astropost.blogspot.com I wrote:
"Interesting synastry between Oprah Winfrey (helping Obama) and Hillary Clinton (the other candidate)! They - both influencial women - share the following aspects:
Sun - Saturn (Oprah square, Hillary quintile); they share nasty experiences

So what aspects does Oprah share with Hussein Obama (born 4th August 1961 at 11h13 in Honolulu)?
They share o.a. Mercury-Jupiter (trine and opposition) for prosperous communications. On the place where her Moon is (the IC) is his Saturn. She might be symbolising the caretaking mother of the nation (like Hilary) and he the (grand)father or ... manager.
Does Obama have a chance now that Oprah supports him? In his progressed chart in November 2008 the P MC (for 11:13!!!!) is sesquisquare the prominent Saturn and conjunct Pluto, indicative for 'the disadvantages of politics' or the denial (Saturn) of a powerfull position. But that is just how I read it...

Obama won twice as much votes as Hillary Clinton did, yesterday in South Carolina. In my 'guess chart' for 14:02 we see Jupiter tightly trine PLuto, the planet that is conjunct his MC, Mars is heading towards a trine with the Progressed MC next week and Mercury is trine MC already. Mercury rules the Midheaven.
Hillary Clinton had Jupiter inconjunct East Point yesterday, together with the longer lasting opposition of Neptune with Saturn (heavy disappointments) and Pluto on the descendant (for challenging opponents:). Still, there is also the effect of the support given by the NY Times, shown as Jupiter trine Progressed MC and Venus conjunct progressed Sun. That explains why why she did not weep for long. She is still full of hope.
CAROLINE KENNEDY
Yesterday Caroline Kennedy (born 27th November 1957) announced that she will support Obama. and not Hillary Clinton. Looking at her birth chart compared to those of Obama and Clinton that is rather surprising, perhaps. There is a Venus trine Mars connection between Caroline and Obama and Mars in her chart is rising before the Sun (men first, orientation on men) that might explain this in an astrological way. However, there are various hard aspects between their charts...

On February 21 there will be a Clinton/Obama debate. February 21 is the date I mentioned under 4.! It might be a winning moment for Obama. BTW using 14:02 the Jupiter of Hillary /Clinton will be right on his Ascendant. WIll she support HIM?

On the official Obama site 'Fight the smears' you can see the birth certificate of the democratic candidate for the presidency of the USA now: 7:24 p.m. I have to do a further study, because on first sight this is a dissapointment to me, as an astrologer. There are none or few tight aspects, no close crucial placements and what is obvious only is that he is diplomatic (Venus on Aries Point, rising before the Sun), popular (Moon wide opposition MC) and that he knows how to perform or lead (Sun end dispositor of the Midheaven). But I miss the link between the biquintile of Jupiter and Pluto with the rest of the chart. Also the placement of Neptune on top square Sun together with Uranus square MC show an idealism to make changes (and that is what he says he wants to do!) but also vulnerabilty because of dreaming too much, being controversial and...where is the power of Pluto, where is the responsibility of Saturn in this chart? Maybe it is hidden:). So I will be back on this issue.

READING THE CHART OF OBAMA, PART2
Barack Obama is not a 'great leader', according to his 19:24 chart and he might not be the person that he pretends to be. But he CAN become the leader of a great country. He has the vocation to be a leader (Sun end dispositor of the midheaven and in Leo). And if he does become the next president, that will not be unfavorable, since in the upcoming period he will have progressed Sun trine Jupiter. Jupiter is the symbol of wealth, progres and succes. That means that he will succeed in what he wants to achieve. He will be content. And when the prospects of the leader are good, so are those of the people.
Another good thing about Obama is the fact that his Venus is prominent, square Aries Point. Venus is the symbol of peace (the opposite of Mars). Might he be leading the USA (and the rest of the world) to peace?
