MOZART AND HIS CHART
250 years ago Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. His chart is here below.
In the movie Amadeus you can see how Uranus on the descendant, opposed to Northern Node sometimes gave the impression that Mozart was shocking, ‘an idiot’ or just ‘hyper’. But he was also special, different than the rest of us. What makes his chart so special? It is not one thing, it is a combination of impressive indications. Here is a summary:
- There are 18 midpoint-and aspect combinations pointing at success
- The element earth is missing. Missing elements are an indication for specialising
- Mars is on Zero Aries, on top and is the locomotive in this chart. Mars is also opposed to the succes indicating Jupiter/Ascendant and Jupiter/Nodes
- The ascendant is in the 13th degree of Virgo. There are midpoint combinations with all the important planets of the chart, like there are: Moon/MC, Pluto/MC, Uranus/Nodes, Mercury/Jupiter and Sun/Jupiter. The ascendant is very special and this combination of Moon and Ascendant position is only active for this specific time and place of birth. The 13th degree of Virgo is a sabian symbol of serenity, harmony and being soft.
- Moon is exactly conjunct Pluto in the 4th house, quintile Venus and sextile Jupiter.
It indicates an extreme (Pluto) success (Jupiter) in art (Moon/Venus). But this is not just a combination for success. This conjunction explains a lot about his background and early years. Exploitation by his father – also a composer- , with whom he travelled through the country to perform in castles and palaces since the age of 8. Moon (environment, family) and Pluto (genes, life and death, inheritance) tightly joined in the 4th house of youth show us how important his background was.
- Sun and Mercury are together opposed to Neptune. This is an indication for fantasy unlimited and for delusion (like was the case at the end of his lifetime after he had been working to hard to compose his Requiem, sadly enough when he was dying.). Sun, Mercury and Neptune all combined with Vulcanus make midpoint aspects to Moon and Pluto.
Mozart was successful, but he had problems with money due to the high standard of living. Also he suffered from the death of four of his six children between 1783 and 1789. Vulcanus and Saturn join Sun and Mercury in the fifth house of (pro-)creation. At the time of the death of his little son Pluto transited Sun and Mercury in his chart. When his little daughter died in 1789 progressed Moon squared Pluto and transit Saturn was on the Moon.
His lifestyle shows by Jupiter in the second house. He even had a horse (Jupiter symbolises horses and …horsepower: probably he would have bought an expansive car in modern life). His ailing wife is symbolised by Venus in the sixth house.
On the day he died (5th of December 1791) Mars (ancient ruler 8th house) squared the important conjunction of Moon and Pluto in the 4th house. Transit Sun squared Uranus on the descendant. The solar return chart for that year is speaking for itself. See below. There are many clues and that seems logical when such a young man dies. In 1791 he had Sun on the descendant, conjunct Uranus and was overstrained. You see how the most important planets and the Moon were aspected on the last day of his life.
Now that his birth is celebrated Mercury and Saturn make aspects to the Sun in Aquarius. In his solar return chart for this year we find Sun and Mercury on top, symbolising the honour and being discussed. Those planets oppose Saturn, indication for the importance of age or aging in this year of celebrations.
The chart of Mozart (above) has many indications to discover. Wikipedia has his biography. You have the chart to test and find more…
