Comparison of the trappists (no HOB’s) to seek the religious component and the indicators for the way their life ended.

In Astrodatabank someone mentioned the tragic fate of the trappists of the Our Lady of Atlas Monastery. I found their birth data on

The quest for similarities and the astrological indications for the moment of their death has both surprised and shocked me. Read with me how fate joined those six religious people and confronted them all with violence during heavy transits and progressions, at the same time. Data are mentioned below.

THE RELIGIOUS COMPONENT: JUPITER/NEPTUNE

Eighteen popes share the connection Jupiter/Neptune and a prominent Saturn. Jupiter/Neptune is the religious component.

Monks are not popes. But at their birthdays there was also a midpoint combination with

Jupiter and Neptune. Five out of six have such a combination. But the prior does not haveJupiter/Neptune combined with a planet. He might have such a combination with the MC or the ascendant, but as the hour of birth is not known we do not know this. However, he has Venus in Pisces, a variation on the theme. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune.

JUPITER AND THE PROGRESSIVE CHART

The starring role in the progressives of the monks is for Jupiter. At the moment of joining the order or becoming a priest (progressed) Jupiter aspected either the natal or the progressive sun. Jupiter is the planet of progress, success and conviction. See data below.

ELEMENTS

Three of the six persons lack planets in a certain element. On the other hand they have more planets in a certain element. That makes them focussed and specialist.

SATURN for hierarchy and ambition

Saturn or Capricorn prominent: the prior has it (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter in Capricorn and Saturn is in Pisces – the sign of the monk). Doctor Luc Dochier has Sun and Mercury trine Saturn. In the chart of Lebreton Saturn does not play a role, except when he entered the order with progressed Sun semi square Saturn. Fleury (cook and gardener) has Saturn even unaspected! Ringeard has Saturn strong in Aquarius, trine Mars. Favre has Sun conjunct Saturn. It takes HOB’s to see whether Saturn is prominent in placement (on the corners).

It seems: the higher rank, the more influence of Saturn in the chart.

END and TRANSITS

On 27th march 1996 the monks are rounded up and taken away and later found dead.

Uranus between Pluto and Nodes and Neptune opposed to Nodes: Fleury
Transit Pluto right on the progressive Sun of Lebreton.
The 82 year old doctor Luc Dochier had Uranus square progressed Sun and transit Pluto inconjunct progressed Sun.
The prior had Transit Uranus semi square Saturn and sesquiquadrate Neptune. Transit Neptune was on his Sun and there was a solar transit inconjunct his natal Mars.

For those without knowledge of astrology: Uranus is the planet symbolising accidents, arrests, shocking experiences and changes, divorces. Pluto in aspect with Sun indicates a confrontation with death, a crisis. Neptune is the planet of sacrifice, lost and grieve.

With such a lot of problematic and dangerous aspects for each of them I wonder if there might be such a thing as fatal coincidence or …fate.

DATA

Dom Christian de Chargé (prior), 18th January 1937 in Algeria

No planets in air, introvert (earth/water combination) with willpower and a tendency for being fanatic (Sun opp. Pluto). Progressed Sun semi square Jupiter when he became a priest.

Venus conjunct Saturn in Pisces.

Luc Dochier (doctor), born 31st january 1914 in Bourg-de-Péage

No planets in earth. Seventy percent in air signs! Five in Aquarius. Very social and communicative man, likes to be in groups. Jupiter in aspect to midpoint Venus/Neptune. In 1941 (became trappist) progressed Sun semisextile progressive Jupiter and 3 planets progressed to the sign of Pisces.

Christophe Lebreton, born 11th October 1950 in Blois

Elements: mostly air, little fire and water. When he became trappist progressive Sun was semi square Saturn, but when he became a priest in 1990 progressed Sun was squaring Jupiter.

Jupiter aspects Venus/Neptune. Sun is conjunct Neptune in the natal chart.

Michel Fleury, cook/gardener, born 21st may 1944 in Ste Anne

Only Mars in water. Sun in Taurus or Gemini trining Neptune. Moon in Taurus (good for the cooking and gardening) . Became a trappist when progressed Sun semi square Jupiter. Jupiter aspects the midpoint Venus/Neptune.

Célestin Ringeard, singer, priest, 27th of July 1933 Touvois

Venus trines Uranus to show the singer in his chart. Few water. Neptune is 22,5 degree from Mars/Jupiter. Became a priest in 1960 and had progressed Sun conjunct Venus at that time.

Paul Favre-Miville was the handyman, born 17th April 1939

3 planets in Pisces, among which Jupiter. Nodes aspecting Jupiter/Neptune. Solemn vow in 1991 with progressed Sun quintile progressed Jupiter.
