BIAS in a
chart
Are you objective or biased? Do you have
your preferences and do these have negative consequences for those that are ‘not
part of it’ or ‘not your kind of people’? Check your chart for indications
before you try to became a judge or a referee or want
to judge people professionally. And before you make up your
mind about a second child. This article is also interesting for those
people that do not benefit from bias. What kind of people are
biased?

PROGNOSIS AND BIAS
WHAT IS BIAS (IN THIS ARTICLE)
Biased
people are those that favour persons like family members or lovers above
others. They have different judgements about the one they like and the one they
do not like. When an outsider commits a crime it is a capital crime. When it is
an insider that person was the victim of circumstances. The working of the mind
of a biased person has been studied by Dr. Drew Westen, a psychologist at
Emory. All of the politicians he studied had biased brains…
Biased
persons think the good job of a fellow church or party member is always better
then that of others. The judgement is always in favour of the party member or
of the beautiful blue eyed blond. In a larger scale the own political party is
always just and even justified when committing crimes. The objective observer
sees how biased people use any kind of argument to talk right what is wrong.
Sometimes they are real good at it!
Biased
people defend the leaders of mass murders and call the victims criminals when
it becomes extreme.
ADVANTAGES OF BIAS
Bias
is functional When a group of people is united the group is stronger. That is
how you manage things. That is why people are part of a group, a union, a
party… It is human to favour those you are committed to. That is why we all are
in favour of the national football team. That is why we help a family member,
but not a stranger when he needs a place to stay. Your own children benefit
most of your bias. Who else would you give so much money and presents?
You
can use bias by taking advantage of your position as a member of an
organisation, family or group. For example by being an heir. You can also use
physical attraction to influence others.
DISADVANTAGE OF BIAS
Bias
is often injustice. Biased people use to say that the whole world is biased and
injustice. You belong, or you do not and that has consequences for you. Bias however
is sometimes not very handy for the biased person himself. Than they instantly
believe the word of the nice person that belongs or has the looks they like.
Think about fraud, abuse in church, commissionaires in enterprises. Famous
people can abuse their fame that way. Being biased is: first look at the shape
and than look for the contents. <br>
The
pitfall of bias is prejudice. Discriminating is making a difference. When you
are biased you will, even on equal grounds, judge those with other backgrounds,
religions, colours or sexual preferences different than the ones you ‘belong
to’…
Bias
is in almost all of us. It is getting annoying when others suffer from it. Like
in a football match. Or as a child in a classroom. Or as an employee when you need a raise of salary. It is
getting dangerous when people in crucial positions (judges, government) are
biased.
INDICATIONS
IN THE CHART
To
be strongly biased you need more than 1 of the next indications in your natal
chart:
· Lots of water, specifically in
Cancer (emotion involvement0
· Sun conjunct Moon (being concerned about
what is ‘your own and just like you’)
· Sun conjunct Mercury (subjective, judgement
close to your own world)
· Moon aspecting Mercury (judgement in
connection to group- or personal interests)
· Moon in aspect with Jupiter
(advantages of descent, spoiling your children, popularity linked to success,
believing in your own group or family). Lots of American politicians
have this aspect
· Moon in aspect with Pluto
(sometimes even though you have problems with your people, family or country
you defend them and are intensively involved). This is an aspect for getting
problems with involvement or for being stronger by the support of family.
· Venus
in aspect with Pluto (strong up to extreme sympathies and antipathies, wanting
lots of luxury in life, beauty = power). To make it short: a problematic
judgement or having difficulties in making choices.
Finally
you tend to favour those with the moon in your sign of the moon because you
feel close to them. The child that has the same moon sign could be your
favourite…
EXAMPLES
Of
course there are examples of biased people. Politicians need to be biased up to
a certain point. I discretely limit myself in naming them.
DICTATORS:
-
Adolf Hitler had Moon conjunct Jupiter and inconjunct Pluto.
-
Stalin had Moon opposition Jupiter and square Pluto.
-
Pinochet has Moon in Cancer trine Jupiter.
-
Franco had Moon conjunct Pluto.
CHANGING GROUP
-
Poncke Prinsen (Dutch soldier who walked over to the enemy Indonesian rebels
and so lost his Dutch nationality) has 50% of the objects in water, Moon semi
square Mercury and Venus opposed to Pluto.
-
William of Orange
(the first, the rebel leader against the king of Spain_ had 40% of his planets
in water, a conjunction of Sun, Moon and Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter.
-
Mordechai Vanunu (Israelian atomic scientist, told the world that Israel had an
atomic weapon, was sequestered back to Israel and only after years he was
released with severe conditions recently. 50% in water signs, Moon opposed to
Mercury, Venus square Pluto.
STANDING UP FOR YOUR PEOPLE:
Martin
Luther King, the murdered religious black leader, had Moon trine Mercury and
opposed to Pluto and 40% in water signs.
Mahatma
Gandhi (spiritual leader during freedom fight of India)
had 40% in water signs, Moon quintile Jupiter and square Pluto, Venus opposed
to Pluto.
PROGNOSIS and BIAS
With
progressed Sun conjunct Moon or Mercury you make a choice to start a new or
renewed life your way or according to your ideas.
With
Pluto over Venus in the chart or progressed Venus in conflict with Pluto you
have a difficult choice to make.
Progressed
Moon opposed to Mercury might force you to make the final choice: do what your
neighbours want you to do or …what you desire. Possibly you need to adapt to
the wished of the family or group you live in . But
you might also say ‘yes’ and do ‘no’. A student at the time of this progression
might loose interest. Time to make a change!
Progressed
Moon in a conjunction, trine or sextile with Jupiter: that is being favoured by
the group! For example: you are unemployed and happen to member of the group
the job you want is meant for (f.ex. when they have a preference for women). Or
you are ill and happen to meat a specialised doctor on vacation. Or it is
summer time, everybody is abroad and you see the house you always wanted
because you happened to be selected to have the summer watch in the company.
You can be recommend by a good friend. All these are
advantages of bias and groups!
CONCLUSIONS
Most
of us sometimes benefit or not. Your chart shows if you are extremely favoured
by commitments to groups. And your experience knows for sure if you do not. Maybe because you are not able to build up a network of relations.
Or you are not good at communications. Or you are not charming at all. In all
of those cases there is a solution: never make yourself dependent on the choices
of biased people.
Are
you biased? But you do not mind? You enjoy the advantages. Or would you like to
be more objective? You can always work on it. By making sure the information
you get does not come from one side only. And: keep thinking for yourself. Than
you can never be blamed for having favoured one child over another!
