AND C.E.O. CARTERS’ASTROLOGY of ACCIDENTS
INTRO
C.E.O. Carter describes in his book ‘De Astrologie van Ongelukken’ (ISBN
90 6378 095 8, Uitgeverij Schors, = The Astrology of Accidents) a few cases of
accidents and looks at the progressive aspects at the time. So he seeks an
indication in the progressed chart for the accidental death or for the
accident. In this study my purpose is to look at the chart of birth and to the
midpoint in the deathly cases of accidents.
Are there directions for an accident in the midpoints Carters used for
his book. Is there an astrological disposition for accidents. You can calculate the data or check the first
five cases from Carters book (in Holland all of the cases
described).

WHAT I
FOUND
Similarities in the chars:

URANUS
in the first house
If Carter has assembled these cases with Uranus in the first I do not
know, but it is remarkable that 3 out of the 7 charts in his book have Uranus
in the first house.
·
FIRE
3 out of 7
do not have any planet in a fire element.
3 out of 7 have more than 40% of the placings in fire (so 4 of the 10 planets
and lights)
Only 1 has a balanced compositon as far as elements are concerned.

MIDPOINTS
MOON/MARS/SATURN, MOON/PLUTO/ASCENDANT
I found these midpoints in the charts of the children that passed away
before they were 5 years old.

WITH MARS
The most frequent combinations of midpoints are with the planet Mars,
which is to be expected.

Mars/Saturn/Ascendant 2x

Mars/Saturn/Neptune 2x
Mars/ Saturn/Pluto 3x
Mars/Saturn/Uranus 2x

So 20 combinations for 8 cases.
No
combination is shown more than 3 times. Now these are different kind of
accidents.
SaturnPlutoAscendant appears in both of the cases of trafficaccidents
and in the traficaccidents of my own list op cases.
Please notice dat Jupiter on the ascendant does not give the protection
with accident that Jupiter seemes to give in cases of violence (the Ken Gilmore
study on Astrodatabank).
DATA
Per case birthdata, short description of character and
midpoints that appear in morre than 1 out of 8 and are no longlasting midpoints
for genereations of people. Note that there were MORE indications in the
midpoints, but the ones that appeared only once were skipped.
Note that the thirth case is a case full of doubt. Is
that an accident?
CASE 1 FIR
Girl, 13-12-1926, 51NV2WL, 7 u a.m..:
died 12.8.1930 after playing with matchese
She is very active and not quite obedient type of child (50% in fire,
Sun ingoing square Uranus, transits: Saturn square MC, Solar Sun conjunct Mars,
Primairy Mars 135 Nsun, Transit Mars oppositie Sun. Mercury is in the final
degree of Scorpio.

Comment: it is a girl with much initiatiev. She is only three years old
playing with fire. There are many indications in the chart of birth. If she had
not been hyperactive and disobedient and had parents that observed here she
should live. But accidently that day there are a few factors coming together. That year she is more active than ever. Mars, planet
of fire, energy and doing things, but also of accidents, plays a mayor role. Mars is in the
fifth house. Carter indicates that that positions says;”to
play with fire”. Lack of supervision, being left alone(Transit
Saturnus 90 MC).
6 midpoinnts and this character plus 4 progessive
indications is quite a lot.
CASE 2 DROWNED
Boy, 2.9.1901 Manchester 1.30 n.m. : drowned in a river on 12th of august 1907
Active and ‘hurrying’ kind of boy (Earth 40%, rest each 20%; Moon 180
Mars, Sun 90 Uranus,Uranus in I)
Progressive Ascendant at the time of the accident conjunct
Uranus.
Moon in the last degree of Aries.

Comments: Another non
obedient boy, very active. More adventuras then ever (progr. ascendant is on
Uranus in the first house).
Why did he drown? Neptune is on cusp of the eight house
(but with a 7 degrees orb – system Placidus) and 90 degrees from MC=
Mars/Saturnus.
7 midpoints plus the character for an indication. Only
one but very strong progression.
CASE 3 FIRE
Boy, 8.4.1902
Genève 10.50 p.m.: died 3.9.1904
Expressive and active (40%
fire, 30% air, Sun conjunct Mars in Aries, Uranus in first house).
Progressive MC at time of accident is 90 Uranus
Mercurius in the last degree of Pisces

Comments: A rather harmonic chart with only the Moon, Mercury and Neptune afflicted. Moon squares Saturn. Mercury squares Neptune. Mutual

With pr MC square Uranus the midpoint MC=Uranus/Pluto (radical change of future
or condition) gets activated.
3 or 4 midpoints indicating accidents and 3 more indications for
suffering caused by others: SunSaturnusNode, MoonSaturnusNode, and
NodeSaturnPluto.
Strong indication in the progressive chart.
CASE 4 SHOT
Man, born 15.10.1891 Lincolnshire 10.30 p.m.: accidently shot by a friend on 2th of january 1930 at 3u30 pm (died 8.00
pm) when 39 years old.
Social person, busy and active (possible hyperactive,
misses fire), a dreamer, but working hard. (Air/water 80%, no firer, 60%
movable, Sun 135 degrees away from the conjunction of Neptune and Pluto.
Transit Venus, Mars and Saturn square MC
Ascendant in the final degree of Cancer, Moon in the last degree of
Pisces and Venus in the last degree of Libra
Mars/Pluto=Saturn/Pluto

Comments: only 2 or 3 indications for accidents comparable to the others.
Seems like the character of activity of the man had nothing
to do with his death. He did
choose an uncareful friend.
Mars is halfquintile (36
graden) Uranus. Uranus inconjunct MC and inconjunct (orb 1,5 degrees)
with the moon, ruler first house.
CASE 5 CRUSHED BY MOTOR
Man, born 8.6.1891 Genève 1 u am. Died 30.8.1920 8u45 pm
Social and realistic but busy person. Sometimes
a flash of agressiveness (no control of energylevel). Tends
to take risks. Need for action (no fire, 50% movable, exact square Sun/Jupiter
and ascendant. The moon is exact conjunct Mars.
Transits Venus=Mars/Saturnus.

Comments: 2 Midpoints in common with the others. Indications
in the character. At time of acccident
no direct indications mentioned (or found)
CASE 6 TRAFFIC
Woman born 20.11.1958 15u28 MET Apeldoorn (Netherlands). Died in traffic accident on 15.12.1970.
Emotional and overactive dreamy person with bad luck
in her youth. Might be an accident caused by miscommunication (no air and 80% is fire
and water) Sun 180 Mars, Moon squares conjunction Mercury/Saturn

Comments: Circumstances onknown but it seems she did not pay attention. There
are 2 pretty though clues in the ascendantmidpoints. And Mars is afflicted in
the first house of N chart.
CASE 7 TRAFFIC
Man, born 3.11.1911 11u48 am Ipswich. Died the day after suffering serieus head injuries causes by being
hit by a car sitting at the back of a motor of his coworker. Accident occurred
10.10.1931 5.45 pm
Worrysom person, not assertive and no control over energy, possible
painfull experiences
(50% water, no fire, Sun 150
Mars, Moon exactly square Pluto, Uranus in first house)
Pr. Ascendant conjunct Uranus 180 Neptunus).
Pluto in the final degree of Gemini.

Neptune on Saturn/Pluto midpoint, but not all of them did get the progressive
ascendant on that point).
