CINDY SHEEHAN
Activist against Iraqui War who lost her
soldier son in 2004
Cindy Sheehan is being discussed on
Astrodatabank. This is my comment:
This seems to me the clearly the chart
of an energetic, rebellious and unconventional woman and mother that feels
obiligated to be devoted to her children and ‘the cause’. She has a mission to
present her opinion to the public. And that opinion is not based on hard facts,
but on sentiment.
I base this conclusion on the following:
1. Elements for Energy
She has a lot of energy (Venus, Mars,
Saturn, Uranus and Pluto in a fire sign)
2. Sun/Moon combination with Neptune on ascendant for Devotion
She has the sort of character that
easily feels obligated to do ‘it’ with idealism and unpaid (combination of Sun
Cancer, Moon Capricorn and Neptune on the ascendant). I know at least 4 persons
with Neptune on the ascendant that do volutairy (voluminous) jobs.
Mercury square the ascendant does not help being objective (and being judged
with objectivity) either.
You might call all this ‘being used’ if
you want to, others might call it idealism, depending on what side you are.
3. Mercury and Neptune prominent and
square: A prominent coloured opinion
But.. fact is that Mercury conjuncts Sun and squares Neptune..And that is not an indication for a opinion
based on hard facts.
Mercury is on top in the 27th degree of
Cancer. Marc Jones calls this degree the symbol of ‘violence….as devine in thee
possibility to raise humans out of arrogance…’ and Janduz says this is a degree
of ‘following’ and serving masters. As Mercury is on that degree her opinion
might be coloured. (And that is perfectly understandable. Mercury on the MC is
understood by the public…). Mercury in the ‘mothersign’ of Cancer shows what
she does: showing the public her opinion about violence.
Mercury conjunct the MC AND square Neptune: it is her goal in life to publish her – idealistic and romanticly coloured – opinion.
On the other hand you could see Mercury as ruler 12th (8th
of 5, death of elder son) and Neptune as the duty (ruler 6) to make it public
(1= 9 of 5). She might feel that this way his death serves a good purpose.
4. Moon/Uranus activated: Unconventional
behaviour
Moon/Uranus playes
an important role in this womans’ (progressive and natal) chart. The moon degree (6th Capricorn) is a
degree of dedicated love and Moon is inconjunct Uranus, ruler equal 5th
house. That is the narrowest aspect in this chart, the most personal. Emotions
are ‘special’ and common rules to be rebelled against. An inconjunction can
refer to ‘having to let go’. People with Moon in aspect to Uranus react
unconventionally and she sure does.
This aspect of having to let go but
being rebellious is important in the progressed chart of 2004.
April 4, 2004, her son got
killed. In the solar return chart for 2004 Mars (ruler 5 in the solar chart)
was on the IC. The first aspect the P Moon makes after the death of her soon is
Moon semisquare Uranus and later P Moon semisquare P Uranus. Moon rules the
Cancer Sun. The moon in the degree of dedicated love was activated twice.
5. Divorced
It might be significant that Uranus
(natal ruler 5) is conjunct Venus ruler 1 (and Mars ruler 7!) and that
Venus/Uranus afflictions are a sign in a womans’chart for having a divorce.
With Saturn over her MC in july/august 2005 she must really have felt alone.
Is not it a sign of not going well
through the process of mourning when you keep the memory of the lost person
THAT vivid? When the P Moon comes over the ascendant I think her emotions will
come out.
